Default SCIENCE EXPERIMENT - 10.5 Wide, 295's, No Flares, H&R Springs...(Pic Heavy)

DISCLAIMER - I am currently waiting on suspension parts so I can go lower, but I wanted to see if this could be done...so I pulled the trigger in the interest of "SQ5 science."

SETUP:
H&R Springs (-3 P/N)
HRE FF01 in Silver - 20x10.5 ET35 (8mm Spacers front/rear) Final Offset ET27
295/35/20 Continental 5p's

After looking at the shape of the knuckle everyone has trouble with for wide tires I knew that if I dropped down in diameter just a touch I could squeeze a bigger tire in there. That said, that's how I chose my tire. The HRE's are only available in ET35 unless you jump up to a P40SC which are custom...and I didn't feel like spending the money or waiting.

I have plans to go much lower, but this will get me by until the spring. I am also on the fence about the flares because I simply don't like how they look. I wanted to stay flush with the plastic flares that come factory and that is what I did. Once it's lower the wheels/tires will be sucked into the wheel well even more providing a nice final stance and fitment.

I had the factory 21's with 20mm spacers front and rear and the fitment is only out a touch more (3.7mm).

I also tossed on a Black Optics grille and dipped the spears on the fog light grilles black.

On to the pics:

Looking good, any issues with rubbing on bumps and turns, such as coming off a freeway ramp at speed and turning.

Great job with the mods. The wheel offsets look really good.

It looks like your only option with the FF01 is the 20x9 or the 20x10.5. Can't go any wider then a 275 on the 20x9 but I wonder if that would fit the fronts? How are the rears with the 20x10.5, did you have to use the spacers back there? Wonder if you could do a staggered setup with the X5/X6 tire sizes, 275/40/20 and 315/35/20?
