What is the latest rumour about when Audi will reveil the next generation Q5?

My understanding it would be announced at the Frankfurt or Paris auto shows. That is around end of September.

Yes, that's the current expectation with first sales/availability starting in April 2017.

I'm not excited either. We recently replaced our Q5 with an A6. I didn't want to wait for the new plant to get up and running and then wait a while longer to see how things shake out. The current gen Q5 continues to sell well even though it's getting long in the tooth. A good design.

Never quite got the desireability of buying first year of a major redesign. Witness build quality issues with 2014 Corvette which surfaced in the automotive press, only only after a year or two, even though it was the most "vetted" new car intro I have ever seen.

Hopefully we'll finally learn if it will have 'real' quattro, or the new Haldex-like quattro Ultra. I suspect the base 2.0T will have the latter, with more powerful versions getting traditional quattro to better manage the torque.
