SQ5 Fuel economy
Hi Folks
I am awaiting delivery of my 2015 SQ5 and wandered what you are getting in terms of Mpg from your SQ5's? My typical weekly mileage is around 700 miles so will be long motorway trips followed by short sharp bursts of acceleration when the local boy racer brigades pull up next to me at the lights.
Thanks

My commute is very similar. I average 19-21 mpg. Best hwy mpg to date, 24.5 . I'm very happy getting (almost) 20 mpg, considering the way that I drive. My car is in sport mode 80% of the time and, although you never need to floor the accelerator, I'm addicted to the sound and speed. I've driven this car over 100 mph more than all the cars I've owned combined.... every week.. The trip to 135 mph is so effortless and drama free, you'll find yourself looking for people to bury every day. I've had vettes and mustangs just give up because (real world) this car has incredible speed. I sold my ls2 GTO because, 9 times out of 10, my SQ5 is faster.

Nathan, sounds like you're in the UK. I think most users on this board are in the US or Canada. I'm getting 19+mpg around town in my TFSI SQ5. Remember that a US gallon is 80% of an imperial gallon and it's gasoline, not diesel, that we're burning. Steve

As most of us are from the part of the world stuck with the petrol SQ5, it's hard to say much about the SQ5 TDI's consumption figures (and our diesel here isn't as good as in Europe so our single-turbo TDIs like I have are likely not quite as efficient as the might be there). But, of course, you should get better returns in the SQ5 TDI than the SQ5 petrol people are getting, and less than the Q5 TDI people get.
For my driving (which tends to land me near EPA city cycle ratings), I get 25-26mpg (US) vs. 24 rated. More highway miles tend to be 31+, varies by speed of course. I'd think you'd be getting satisfactory consumption figures in the S TDI given the performance of the bi-turbo.
