Audi has had a very busy week and quietly announcing updates to several models:

• Updated A6/A7 with virtual cockpit, etc.
• Updated A3 with virtual cockpit, etc.
• TTRS announcement.

Anyone have insight as to when they expect the newly redesigned Q5 to be unveiled? We all pretty much know it's going to look like inside and out based on the A4 and Q7 having a baby.

Competition is finally heating up though with the new GLC and F-Pace.

New 2016 Audi A5, B9 family it should be revealed later this year. After 4-5 months later should be presented new Q5 last in the family B9.
So the new Q5 is coming in the second half of 2017

From what I've gleaned from many different articles, the redesigned Q5 is going to get announced in 2016 for an early 2017 release. And rumors have it that the SQ5 would get released at the same time. But I don't know if I really believe that. It's "S4 daddy" can't even be configured yet in Germany and that's the engine it'll use. Seems to have encountered a significant delay.

That source is almost a year old. The order bank is already open for the '17 Q5 and it is the same as the current Q5. The 'redesigned' Q5 will likely be a 2018 model that will be 'shown' sometime late this year with order banks opened about a year from now. Until Audi announces it this is all speculation.

My understanding is that the MY17 Q5 will be a short run and that the new Q5's will be launched as MY18s in early 2017... but yeah, it's looking likely there could be a delay coming, given that there have been no new news on the subject.

Seems from this source that orders for 2017 models are open and build dates for the A5 and Q5 will be the same... 5/31/16

I wouldn't be surprised if the A5 and the Q5 get revealed at the same time as the leak showed the two coming out only 1 month apart from what I recall.
