Default Stock 19"s tire recommendation

Hi

It's time for new tires, I have the stock 19" which are 235/55/19 in thinking of plus sizing to 255/50/19 but looking for recommendation. I don't really drive in the snow so can do summer tires. But would like all a seasons if possible.

I am really liking the Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S Plus 19" I bought from Tire Rack. Good traction, quieter than the OEM Michelin Latitudes, and much better in inclement weather.

Michelin Premier LTX is what I'll be going with when the OE Contis wear out, probably in size 255/50/19 as well.

I had the Pirelli Sciroion verde all season tires twice on a Tiguan. After 10k miles they get loud, but they work well in the rain, snow, and ice.

I believe the stock tires which came with the car are Goodyear Eagle LS got 22k on them and they need to be changed already almost down to less than a penny.

Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 here in 255/50-19. I'm guessing I have ~7-8k on them so far and very very pleased.

Siren0001,

Thanks for the post. I have been thinking about this for a while too.

Dassq5 and/or BlackSVT,

Been looking at some DWS 255-50R19. Just curious if there are any clearance or rubbing issues. If there is a need for spacers?

Not sure if your SQ5(Dassq5)rims have different offset than mine either.

Thanks
Dan

What are some of the mileage people are getting outta their DWS?

The wife prob wouldn't like if I had to buy $1k in tires ever year. Had some Michelin Pilots AS ZR on a previous vehicle and had to change every 10-12k miles.
