Suggestion - 2014 Audi Q5 MPG
I just bought a 2014 Audi Q5 with 4000 mileage. The MPG on highway is only 24.2. Is this still in the normal range per your experience? I would expect it is to close to 28. Thanks,

Weather conditions? How fast are you driving?
Our 3.0T will return 27 mpg at 70 mph. Faster than that and the mpg drops quickly. Cold weather and wind are also huge factors.
In the summer, our Q5 BEATS the EPA numbers by about 1 mpg.

I bought a 2014 TDI with 3600 miles on it at the end of November. I'm averaging about 24.6 mpg with mixed street and freeway driving in the San Francisco Bay Area. Have only had to fill up the tank 3 times since I got the Q5 and am loving it!

most every car will get worse gas mileage driving in winter. Most states participate in the changing of RVP (Reid vapor Pressure) in Sept. This is an EPA thing to limit the emissions of cars during certain times of the year. Lower RVP typically yields more MPG. Working in the gas industry this changes from state to state and typically lower RVP's cost more.
That said, engines love cold air so you will typically having an increase in power in the winter so it can be a trade off in some cases.

Lower MPG in winter
After visiting one of the local Audi dealers, I think I find the reason. Because of the Rvp (Reid vaper pressure) changes in the gasoline during the winter time, it will increase the engine power but decrease the MPG by around 15-20%. In another word, my Audi's highway MPG will bump up to 28 during summer time. Thanks for your postings!
