ThunderDent **2015 SQ5 Build Thread**
Alright, I'm starting this new build thread for the new ride.
I'm still hating the fact that I lost the Q5, but am excited for a new chapter in the Audi world.
This time around I'm not going to go crazy on the mods, and am absolutely NOT going to do anything to the engine, exhaust, catalytic converter or Supercharger.
I'm excited for the real deal this time around, and as much fun as modding my last Audi to get the performance that wasn't offered back in 2011, I'm anxious to get into the new SQ5 and experience it on a daily basis. Looking forward to the 3.0T engine and the sound it will sing to me!
I have decided ahead of time a very careful list of modifications that relate to the stance and look of the SQ5, and handling that I was used to in my last Audi and simply can't live without. I won't be able to go back to shorter wheel base, higher ride height, and body roll. But I want the hatch and not the sedan so the SQ5 was the perfect ride for me.
The mods will come soon, but first, the Delivery. Sunday at 1 pm. Let the excitement commence. Pics to come ...

Congrats on the SQ5... I think you're really gonna like it. Can't remember liking a car as much as I like mine.
Like you, I will soon be making some adjustments to the suspension, but they are really just for my personal satisfaction.
Good luck with your ride!

Congrats - will be a nice ride. Look forward to seeing pics and mods. Just FYI, but pretty sure the wheelbase on the 2015 SQ5 is the same as your old 2011 Q5 @ 110.5in (and basically the same as the A4). So no impact on ride quality and handling from the wheelbase alone, although it does carry slightly more weight over the front (3.0T vs 2.0T).

My awesome Audi sales guy was nice enough to text me over some pics today. The SQ5 arrived, and they put it in the showroom. He said they've been getting complements on it all day! He said its brighter in person than the photos show.
Love it, but I'm already over the wheel gap and stance. That will have to be addressed!
Pretty awesome of him to send those over. It sucks I won't be able to get there to take Delivery until Sunday. Longest wait EVER!
More to come...
