This applies to 2-liter diesel engines - on N.A. market does not exist Q5 with this engine

Such a vague and incomplete rumour.

You might as well just simplify it and say "VWG is going to see the judge again."

There's nothing else of importance there.

Meanwhile, this pins it at $5000-$10000, although again only for 2.0 engines.

"The people cautioned that negotiations among Volkswagen, plaintiffs’ lawyers and government officials involved in widespread litigation consolidated in a San Francisco federal court were ongoing and terms of the settlement could change."

In other words, there's still nothing there. Just a rumor that VW might unilaterally do what it could have done 9 months ago. And no mention of what it will do with regard to the other combined litigation, which means, there's no reason for the court to accept any offer at this time, which could impact the other actions.

Smoke and mirrors.

Perhaps if VWG's entire Board of Directors were forced to hold all future meetings while in one Morris Mini Minor, while traversing alpine passes after fresh snowfalls, their co-operation might be more readily forthcoming?

And no bathroom breaks until they reached the far end of the pass.(G)

Again, nothin'

"VW still must reach agreement with regulators on whether it will offer to buyback 85,000 larger 3.0 liter Porsche, Audi and VW cars and SUVs that emitted up to nine times legally allowable pollution and how much it may face in civil fines for admitting to violating the Clean Air Act".

If they buy back my Passat I'll be happy. My wife wants a Q7.
