TDI vs SQ5
Lease on the TDI is 530, SQ5 is 599, each plus tax.
My heart says SQ5, wallet says TDI, as I'll need snow tires and wheels on the SQ5, so another 2k or so.
I have both cars stripped, no NAV, no packages to speak of. I'm hoping to have a bit of equity on the backend of the lease to less the overall cost, but no guarantees of course.
Thoughts?

SQ5!
have you driven both of them? You only live once! I bought an SQ5 without a test drive and love it! I was torn between an S4 (sporty sedan for a single guy) and a Q5 (increased practicality and size for everyday use/traveling in the military) so the SQ was a "calling." It goes fast in a hurry and is incredibly smooth and comfortable while doing so. I was looking at '14s and would have ONLY gotten an S-line/black optics TDI so the initial cost was eerily similar between the two. The SQ5 doesnt have any option of adjustable suspension but its amazing how the car changes personality when you go from comfort to dynamic. I have put 3,000 miles on mine in a month and can say I have seen the mileage Audi advertises 16-23 and have NOT been driving very conservatively. so much fun! feel free to ask any questions and hopefully others will provide feedback as well.

I drove the 3.0, the TDI and the SQ5 back to back to back. Love the SQ5, love the looks on the body, and the cockpit, engine in unreal. The TDI has gobs of low end torque obviously and should have great resell here in Colorado.
It's just tough, money being no object, its the SQ5. I know the SQ5 base options are excellent. I could be happy with either. The downside on the SQ5 is the damn snow tire need, wish they had a better option. What's a realistic inexpensive set of 19's and snow tires going to run?

I've had my 2014 TDI since April. Although I can certainly afford the SQ5, I opted for the TDI because it's so much more fuel efficient (while also possessing enough "sport" to make it a fun ride). I'm getting 28MPG during my daily commute and 33MPG on road trips (those are actual figures calculated at the pump). Not only that, but Diesel here in the Boston area is currently $0.10 to $0.20 less than premium gasoline (which the SQ5 would chew through like candy).
I'm not saying that I don't dream about the SQ5 on occasion, but the additional cash in my pocket makes me smile. I'll save those pennies and buy myself an S3 or TTS in the next year or two for weekend thrills.

By the way, I added the SLine+ and Sport packages and, if you ask me, it looks better than the current SQ5 (I'm a big fan of the blacked out trim on mine).
Of course the 2015 SQ5 has the black optics package as an option...

18x8 BBS SRs and 255/55/18 Michelin Latitude Alpines look to be about 1800 on tirerack. I'd probably just put Pilot A/S 3s on but I'm not driving up to the mountains every weekend. If I was, I'd probably go for winters.
