Does the rocker panel trim just snap off?
You couldn't do this if you TRIED. I was stopped at a light and reached into my left hip pocket to take out a receipt at my next stop, and heard something go "tink" when I did. A small nail file (don't ask) fell out of my pocket. So at the next light, I check the door pocket, and the space by the seat rail, and there it is...partly under the rail. Almost 3-1/2" long and 3/8" wide, no big deal.
When I got out of the car I tried to slip it up clear of the rail to take it out, and it fell neatly into the gap in the molding where the seat belt goes down to anchor to the floor! Barely big enough to let it pass through, but of course it did.
The molding looks like the panel is just clipped in, and would pull out? But before I go tearing trim off, I thought I'd ask if it does come off that way. I'd just rather not have "stuff" sliding around inside the car that way.
No pix, but if you look at the bottom of the d/s shoulder harness where it passes through the plastic to bolt into the body, you'll see. Audi left exactly one small gap in the trim, and I found it. Go figure!
