Tell Me How many miles before 1st Changed Brakes
Of course different driving styles will vary number of miles before brakes start to wear down. I have a 2014 Q5 with 11k miles and the brakes are spongy and feel like they are wearing down.
How many miles before your first brake pad etc change?
Did you go through the dealership? Or private to not pay dealer prices? How much?
thanks

Well, not a direct answer, but more of an indicator: I have a '13 3.0T with 37k miles and brakes are still in good shape. My guesstimate is I'm ~50% worn on the fronts and 30-40% on the back.
I think I'm pretty easy on brakes typically during my daily commute (which is counter to the flogging the drivetrain regularly takes with me behind the wheel!)
I'll change the pads/rotors or upgrade myself when needed.

43K miles and still on the original brakes here. Have the replacements pads ready for when the time comes. Much cheaper on Amazon for pads than your local auto parts store.
For DIYers you will need VCDS or another tool (Snap On makes one) to retract your rear pads to replace them. Looking forward to less brake dust

Brake pad indicator came on around 48K miles (2011 2.0T Prestige+). Had the local indy replace front pads & rotors, $500 parts & labor. My indy is a great guy and said the rears had at least two more years so I saved some $$$. Don't use a dealer for anything routine, only more complex jobs where being Audi certified will be of value.
