So just to finish, you suggest me to go to a Audi Dealer to change the transmission fluid at 60k miles, so immediately when I buy it?
How much will it cost?

I will say 600-700 it depends in your area for labor charge. Parts is what going to get you at about 450-500.
Maybe your area they have a special?

I waited till 100k miles. I did go to the dealer and it cost $ 800. I did it there because I had my $500 Dealer only cash card from the TDI settlement to spend. At my Indy it would have cost about $400. for OEM fluid and filter plus a couple of hundred for labor.

700$ to change a fluid?

That's wrong?

Come on, not going to spend 700$ to change a fluid.

G'day People,
New here and am from Down Under, in Oz.
One reason I am on your Forum is because I've been seeking Options for the correct ATF for my 2011 Q7 TDI.
To date I've got the options of:-
Genuine OEM @ Au$80.00/Litre [Quart nearly]
Toyota ATF WS @ ~Au$18.00/Litre
Genuine Aisin ATF+ Au$45.00/4 Litre + Delivery, from Melbourne, Victoria
Also,
Penrite [Australian] at about $45.00/4 Litre
ATF LV (Full Syn)
I've used Penrite since the 80s in my Moto Guzzi T4 :-)
Hope to resolve soon, as due to do service in a Month or Two.

G'day Ivan,
I've the same Aisin SD80 Autobox in my Q7 TDI 2013. Having the same thoughts as you on ATF options.

It's an Aisin SD60 (6 speed) Autobox with added 2 speed option to make it SD80. Basically the same as those in Lexus LS460, which uses standard Aisin/Toyota ATF WS fluid.

Logic dictates, if Aisin made the box, it should be ok with Toyota or Aisin fluid. I've been using a 20L carton of
RAVENOL ATF T-WS Lifetime - Ravenol
It does show VW & Audi certification. Running out soon and wondering the same thing as you. What was you last observation ?
Apart from OEM, Ravenol is the only other maker with clear SD80 certification. Aisin/Toyota/Penrite don't.

Some might say, we risk damaging an expensive autobox using the wrong ATF. But I'm also wondering if all OEM/Aisin/Toyota ATF came off the same production tank !!!

Cheers
