does anyone know what the coding is for the module for side assist?

From Ross-Tech:

Update the Lane Change Assist (J769 / #3C) Coding, if installed.
Due to different Control Modules and Equipment in the Car the actual Coding Table is not shown here but will automatically be displayed once you access the Coding Function using VCDS.

when i go into that module there is a code but VAGCOM doesn't say what each bit is for, was hoping someone might be able to help out.

Thanks,

Evan

The dealership wants way too much to change out the bar, so I'm going to just live with it.

Well I had the stealer put my hitch on and they said they had to reprogram the ABS the air ride and the transmission. And then I found out they left off the new hitch cover lower bumper shield so the back end it wide open. GRRRR!!!!

They may not have had a good way to cut the panel opening. I left my Ingersol air powered recip saw at work, so I couldn't cut the hole in mine last night (finally installed my hitch on the 3.6). So, I took the panel with me to work so I could cut it some time today and totally forgot to cut it. Dur...

My 3.6 only needed the ABS and transmission recoded, and the trailer module initialized. Yea for limited options, I guess. Took me about 10min to recode and about 2hrs to install the hitch.

I had them order the new panel that they forgot lol. So I'm also thinking about mounting some LED's in it for an auxiliary back up light set up.

Thanks for all the info here and I am sure I will have more questions when my hitch gets here, but first question is:

Can I re-use the bolts that hold the non-hitch bumper reinforcement when installing the tow bar? I bought one from a salvage yard and it will likely not show up with the mounting bolts. I want to order them before I get into the job if i cannot re-use the ones holding the old part in place.

I don't believe so. It's been so long since I installed but you should just order the 8 bolts. This thing is HEAVY!
