Hello Guys: Audi Newbie here.

Ordered a 2015 Q7 S-Line Prestige - Atlantis Blue on June 17.
Config:
- 4LB5XA - S-Line Prestige
- Z2Z2 - Atlantis Blue
- 1BK - Adaptive Air
- 1D6 - Tow Package
- 4X4 - Rear Airbags
- 6W9 - Front Lic Plate Delete (GA does not require front lic)
- 9ZW - Audi Connect
- AMI - Audi Media Interface
- PQX - S Line Plus Pkg
- WQB - S Line Interior Pkg

Production date is set for week of 2014/09/30; hopefully it is now in production. Expected delivery by first week of November.

Very excited about living the Audi experience I am reading about.

For now, I only get to look at this screen shot of my config

Very nice! I'm waiting for my Q7 as well. Ordered in August and I will be taking delivery October 20.

Based on the new user account, I'd guess their question was framed as though you are getting the next gen Q7 (which most here know won't likely be available until this time next year). The next gen Q7 will almost certainly have one hybrid engine option with regenerative braking.

Dutch, I'll assume you're not playing dumb (wink), but regenerative braking is tech that is typically available in hybrid internal combustion+electric motor combinations like the current Cayenne and Touareg. It's a system that helps recharge the main electric drive battery during braking.

KERS is another regenerative technology that may end up in some of these "Eco" inspired powertrains, but it is for the most part, purely mechanical- storing kinetic energy in a high speed flywheel to be later accessed during vehicle acceleration. It seems a bit "steam punk", but quite a few F1 teams use it where the rules allow, so it's considered high tech.

From my original post, it's pretty obvious that I am not buying a next gen model or one with a hybrid; and, no, I had no idea what that kind of braking is, since I don't and never would own a hybrid.
