....and, if you connect a trailer with it in dynamic mode it will stay there but if you switch it to any other mode, it will not let you go back to dynamic.

correct because you're not supposed to tow in dynamic according to audi.

Where does Audi say you are not supposed to use Dynamic? I have always used it to tow my track cars as it provides the best stability and lower profile.
