and yes im using the halogen housing for the HIDs. everyone was saying it wouldn't work - i've had no problems though

the resistor/plastic situation is over my head - if you decide to buy the kit and have questions let me know

Thanks for the link, I'd like to hear if you get your issues sorted out with your tail lights, let me know what your mechanic says.

Just waking this thread up from the dead.

Have a pre-facelift Q7 and my friend has offered me his LED tail lights with that adapter/module/wiring posted somewhere in this thread.

However he said thats a fault which has always occurred since he bought them, and thats the indicators (or blinkers if you're american) flicker for a split second every 30 seconds or so.

I suspect a faulty adapter? or reading around it seems others have this issue?. Is there a cure/fix? maybe theres a resistor or 2 playing up inside this fan driven adapter?.

Chris, I am curious if you installed the OEM stock LED license plate lights and if so, what solution did you use to correct any flicker.
