Default Bose repair at home

Does anyone know of a site that outlines how to fix the Bose amp due to a leaky roof?

There's is not much litterature on how to repair the amp itself but you can remove the amp and do a visual inspection. On my 07 a chip had shorted, I ordered one on ebay for like 5$ and it worked like a charm.

Default Inspection revealed 4 chips with white residue on them and ...

How do you test and identify the chips?

Thank you.

I would think that this is your best bet if you don't have an electronics repair background.

For what it's worth for a kinda-old thread, I'm about to replace my 2009 OEM bose because of the water thing. part is $590 or so on ebay to replace, but I'm happy to save $200...

Can anyone give me the precise part number if i go with route #1?

2thumbs up for Ed. Mine came back in about 10 days, and was back up and running in 15 minutes. Excellent value!
