Centre Prop Shaft support bearing...
I have noticed the start of a slight vibration appearing at about 70mph. It's possible to drive through it and by 80mph, it is completely smooth again.
I think it is being caused by the centre prop shaft support bearing beginning to fail but I cannot find the correct part number. Audi are reluctant to release the part number because they recommend replacing the whole prop-shaft but I know it quite an easy fix to split the shaft. I did one on my wife's old Touareg a year or so ago and it's essentially the same design.
Does anyone know of a way to establish the correct part number - it's a mid-2008 4.2tdi.
