Changing Standard Glass to Privacy Glass!
Hi All.
I have a 2008 Q7 that does not have Privacy Glass as Standard, I do however have the Blinds to the Windows and Boot.
I want to remove the currently installed Glass and fit Privacy Glass from another car. Probably one off of eBay that is being broken for Parts.
Does this sound feasible? Is it something that’s been done before?
I do not like the Bright Orange Demister lines to the Rear and Side Windows when you Tint them conventionally therefore this is my Option!
Thanks
Nick

The door glass is quite easy but the rear side and tailgate are bonded in place and I would never advise changing them for purely cosmetic reasons because there is always the possibility of a leak occurring.
I am not sure you'll be able to find the bonded glass from a salvage car - it is difficult to remove so you will probably end up having to buy new.
