Default Crazy thought of an upgrade...

Ok, so we've been enjoying a CPO 2013 Q7 3.0 premium plus since last October when we purchased it. Today when I brought my A8 in for service, I was given a 2015 Q7 TDI loaner - Prestige, fully loaded, air suspension, enhanced leather, alcantara headliner, factory tow package, Daytona gray with black and it has 4,800 miles. Sticker on the car is $72,500.

Our current Q has 35,000 miles and we paid $45,500 last year. A) would you consider the trade B) assuming you got a deal on the buy and a fair deal on a trade, would the price delta be worth getting into a TDI with virtually no miles and a CPO warranty vs staying the course??

What would you do?

no real deals on the TDI right now... if anything find a used one with cpo and enjoy the discount otherwise stick with what you have.

Loaded Q7 TDI as a loaner? Geez, where is your dealer!!! I just dropped off my Q7 this morning for A/C issues. Not blowing air at all and just drove home 12 hrs from upstate NY. My family and dogs were not happy. I got a new A3. Pretty nice actually.

The first time our 4.2 went in (for diagnosis) we had an A3 as a loaner. When it went back in for the actual repair, I had a brand new mid-level A7 3.0TQ as a loaner. A7 >>>>> A3. Though I would drive an A3Q as a daily driver, but man was that A7 nice.

The new local VW dealer that did my 3.6's CV boot gave me a Jetta the first time, which was the service managers car, which included golf clubs and dirty golf attire as an added bonus. The second time (always assume you have all the parts when you start a job instead of actually checking them) I had a CPO Passat for several days. Passat > Jetta. Too bad they didn't give me the used TTRS they had just gotten in as a loaner. I may have kept it...

Took my S5 in for CEL a few weeks ago and was given a loaded Q7 TDI as a loaner vehicle.

I've even received an A8 loaner at times.

the dealer i uses has a system and it works well providing they're not overloaded with work. A8/S8 get an A8 as a loaner. Q7 gets a Q5 or A6. Q5 owners get a Q5 or Allroad. everyone else gets A3. bmw dealer i use has a similar system and lr/rr gives everyone an evoque unless you bring in an autobiography rr then you get a full size rr.

That's a lot of coin for a few upgrades that will start to "blend in" in a few months. If you have the cash then go for it but it will never make economic sense.
