Does anyone here have a rattle free Q7?
I have been thru mine and can't seem to get the rattles to go away completely.
I've cinched down the tool and spare tire area, made sure seat belt buckles in the back were not hitting the sides of the interior, etc.
Is this just the way it is with a Q7 or other SUV?
Rattles drive me crazy. One buys a high end German vehicle so as not to have rattles (among other things of course!).
Mine is a 2014 with 25k miles on it.

Then one day I just used some WD-40 on the two hinge and the trunk lock and the noise disappeared. Funny how such a small thing could make so much noise.
Now the only noise I have in the whole car is the rear seat making some plastic bag noise when it hits the bumps and occasionally clicking noise from the front dash.

'07 4.2 (94k mi) and 3.6 (64k mi) Premiums. Every once in a while a squeak when suspension is being articulated. Otherwise quiet. VIN's are close to each other, I figured out they were built within about 2.5 weeks of each other, or something like that.

The rear seat seems to rattle a bit on mine if it is fully back as far as it will go. Move it 'one notch' forward and it's completely quiet.
There are no other noises even at 145k now.

I have a 2013 loaded Prestige TDI (for two more days as I am picking up my new 17). I love the car, BUT it had sunroof creaks on both roofs that were resolved each time by dealer though I suspect will come back in time. Rears seats vibrate a bit, but tolerable. Biggest annoyance is the center armrest creaks every time you lean or even lightly push on it. Driver door panel has developed a rattle when driving over uneven or slight bumpy roads, also makes all kinds of creaks and squeaks when you pull on interior handle. Its like there is a real engineering / quality issue with the selection of plastics and their construction. I was just in a $14k Kia 4 banger rental the other day and found myself pushing and pulling on areas of the interior, all solid as a rock....go figure!

Our 2011 TDI Prestige is still tight and rattle free at 93000 miles. Did 710 miles in it on Saturday picking up 4 Grandsons for a visit. Grandsons? THEY do make a lot of noises.
