Default Factory Brake Pads Available

I have a complete set of 2015 factory (Pagid) brake pads with 875 break-in miles on them that I would like to send to a good home. They will fit the 2010-2015 Q7. $10 plus the cost of shipping and they're yours.

That is very generous of you Dutch! I read your most recent thread about brake pads, I know u went with Hawk Ceramics on your previous Q. Did you end up installing the Rotex pads this time?

Yes, I did put Rotex Gold on this one. So far, I like them. The brake well and seem smoother; although I don't have enough miles on them yet to make a final judgement. If they are like the ones on my G500, they will be good performers with almost no dust.

The Hawk ceramics on my 2010 were less dusty than the factory pads, but still put out a fair amount of a dull reddish dust. Also, the Hawks had a real problem with excess paint around the mounting slots for the wear sensors. As a result, I busted two of them at ~$20 each in trying to install the sensors. I had to take a sharp tool to remove the excess paint in order to install the sensors without breaking them. No problem with the Rotex.

I really hate to throw the factory pads away with only 875 miles on them; but if I don't get a taker, to the trash they will go.

I put 160 miles on them today of stop and go traffic, interstate highway speeds and heavy curved mountain roads.

100% performance and dust free. Love 'em!

Also, averaged 28.6 mpg on this TDI engine that turned 1,000 miles today. No complaints there.

Where did you find the Rotex Golds? I'm not having luck with my 2015.
Thanks

What size are your rear brakes over there 330mm or 358mm?

2015 brake pads are the same as 2012-2014 pads.

I purchased from Brakewarehouse.com, and I dealt with Chuck.

Front P/N: DA014D 7878-D1014M

Rear P/N: D9878D 7908-D978M

I would NOT use brakeworld.com. You will get something they call Rotex Gold, but is unboxed in a plastic bag with a computer printed stick on label. Rotex Gold pads are boxed in Rotex boxes.

FWIW, I just completed a 1300 mile trip with the Rotex Gold pads installed. Excellent braking performance, including two hard panic stops from Interstate speeds to a full stop in traffic. I had cleaned the wheels just before I left. After the trip there was only a bit of road dust. Love 'em! With the factory pads the wheels would have been totally black.

Those P/N's may or may not fit the 2016. I would be very wary about that, since there is a complete redesign of the car.

The complete set of fronts and rears were a little over US$200 delivered. The one source with the unboxed and, to me, questionable pads was less expensive; but I went with the source that I know was selling me genuine Rotex Gold pads.
