Was yours a Premium Plus? I am trying to do the same with a '14 Premium Plus Q7. I have no idea if the 3 or 4 spoke makes a difference. Do you know? What else do I need to know; and where can I get one. I have no clue. I am new at this. Thanks for any insight. Go Navy!

Any update on getting the the heat to work in your swapped steering wheel? Or still a no-go on that?

I tried ALL the various options and even spent money on an expert who switched the control module in a vain attempt to make the new heated wheel work and viola NO WORKIE!
It is a can of worms at best to change these things 100% successfully. Now if you know a "secret" option on the vag to enable my heated paddle shifter wheel on my 2012 prestige then I an ALL EARS!
