Default Help : Wiring and mounting the westfalia tow kit on Q7 / Kit # 321687

i just ended up with a Westfalia Model # 321687 Part # 32168760021

My vehicle is a 2010 Q7 TDI with Air ride & S Line. Will this unit fit on my car and what wiring issues will I run into. The car was not equipped with the tow pack so I purchased the controller as described on this forum.

Please help with any advice and suggestions, I see that the wiring lines up, how does it actuate and deploy the hitch. The unit came off a used car and does not have any instructions.

Help, Help Help.

No ideas on the Q7 but when i fitted my Westfalia hitch and dedicated wiring to my A6 it was fairly easy to wire as the instructions were very good and accurate.

If its like the A6 i think there will be a mass of Earth wires, a Feed for 12v to what you are towing and then a 12v feed for the module, two canbus wires and a reverse wire (this was in the uk) When i was looking for my Q7 i had researched what was required if i needed to get one fitted and it looked simple.

These are from the uk but might help

I have one harness that goes to the controller and one additional with only 2 wires. I don't see where those two wires go to and it will not actuate. Any ideas on what and where they additional socket plugs in. Having a hard time finding any other images of this unit and install instructions.

There are a couple of coding changes you need to make as well as the physical connections. I left the one to disable the reversing sensors because it allows the camera to still function.
