The black is starting to flake and/or wear off on both start & stop buttons of our 2008. Thought I saw some of you replacing these older model button with the newer version, but if this peeling/flaking is a common issue for the newer pieces I think I'll just stick with the 2008 replacements.

The PO somehow put tiny dents in the brushed aluminum surround and I'll probably replace that since it has to come off for the button replacement. Can any of you share any button upgrade info or give me a link to a thread on the subject?

FWIW when I had the windows tinted on my '14 Q7 and '13 S5 right after purchase I had the installer place clear bra film over the start buttons.
