oh yeah.. sat in the XC 90 at CES.. that car is legit. can't wait to test drive one before i made a decision.

The 400 bhp are there for sure. The electrical engine also helps improve the sensation during acceleration, feels a bit more "immediate".

local volvo dealer is clueless about upcoming models and when they will be available in person. not very reassuring but i will give them the benefit of doubt at the moment since volvo is still in a transition phase so retail outlets may be in the dark on details. let's see how things progress.

Well, the first series production XC90's rolled out of the Torslanda factory as late as last week, so deliveries have started at least in Sweden (I know for sure as I live literally 4,5 km from the factory in Gothenburg).

I believe I've read that it will be available in the US in the spring - you can already build/price them on the Volvo US website.

As others have said, it looks to be a very impressive vehicle - if we were in the market for a new SUV, would definitely take a look at it.

They have two XC90s on the floor at the Chicago show (versus ZERO new Q7s - crazy!). Not earth-shattering but they look crisp / well-executed in person. While I expected the Q7 to be an obvious choice before the new version was actually revealed, the new XC is now on my test drive list.
