Disregard the wheel arch question

Over the past couple of years I've made my way though a 2011 S5 and a 2012 A7 and enjoyed them both. Our plan is to see more of this wondrous country and hence my switch to a 2012 Q7 TDI which I picked up a couple of days ago. It's in Daytona Gray and is a Prestige S-Line with 21's, sports m/function wheel etc and other usual bits.

Not having had a Q7 before, I've got to say that I'm really enjoying it so far. I love the huge amounts of torque.

Any tips and suggestions about do's and dont's or must have's would be welcome.

Congrats! Love the color!

Hello BP, re the steering wheel.... its the S line three-spoke, multifunction sport steering wheel. I got it as part of the main S Line package option $2000:

- S line front & rear bumpers and side valences (TDI only)
- S line door sills (TDI only)
- Headlight washers (TDI only)
- Black headliner
- Brushed aluminum inlays
- Sport steering wheel
- S line badge

I did not get the S Line "Plus" package (hence the lack of the wheel arch trim), I added the 21" wheels as an accessory.

Default Congrats

Nice pics.

Doesn't look much different from the 2011 versions?

Exterior wise.

My old Q7(RIP) was the same colour loved it to bits.

Daytona Gray is the fastest

Congrats and enjoy. Mine is the same except SLine instead of TDI.

My 2009 TDI is just great. Have 45,000 miles but haveing problems with tyre ware, Twice with right front, 3rd set coming up. Excessive ware on right rear also. Otherwise it is a dream to drive, did 7,000 mile trip last summer, average 27 miles per gal on hiway.
Great ride.

I would bring your Q7 to a alignment specialist (Not just any alignment guy). Find a tech who understands alignment well especially the Q7.

Q7 front casters and cambers are little more complicate than other vehicle.

thanks Oaktree. The Audi dealer in Ft Myers, Fl has sold and serviced the car, I hope they know what they are doing.

How come your Q7 does not have the S-Line wheel arch trim?
