Got my 295 / 40 R21 Continetal ExtremeContact DWS06 on my 2015 Q7.
I put thru a lot of turning and up/down hill tests and is fine. No rubbing. Looks awesome !!! The Conti's have really nice ride. The 40s give a real meaty/beastie look over the 35s.

the vehicle looks taller.
if you have access to vcds make the proper adjustments so the new size is reflected in your speed, navigation and and your mileage.

Thx for post but as NEWB I have no idea what you are referring to (ie VCDs) nor how I would use/config the adjustments. Any tutorial on the subject would be most appreciated. I have MY15 Q7 and has latest firmware MMI. I am a techy by trade.

you have to change the overall rolling diameter registered in the car's ecu and related modules. by installing tires larger than what it was designed for it will throw your speedometer, odometer, and navigation off.

since you do not have access to vcds/vagcom perhaps you can go to the regional forums and see if anyone in your area would be kind enough to meet with you for simple adjustments.

Can the dealer make these adjustments when I go in for service ? .....or will they baulk that since this is not "stock" size tire/etc. they won't touch it ?

If they wont' then is there a reputable 3rd party in Atlanta, GA area I can contact ? .....I am willing to pay for the tweaks.

Call local independent used euro car dealers in your area. I'm sure they would have a vcds.

this is a good time to invest $350 for the VAG COM. Will be well worth it for you, trust me

do you feel more comfortable on the 40 series tire. I have same car without air suspension, would like to put 40 profile tire next time. do you have any rubbing issue in the past few months?
