Q7 TDI MPG
Took a 135 mile trip today with 4 adults, 1 dog and luggage. Averaged 27.6 MPG with average speed of 70. (Was doing 80 most of the journey, had 2 short traffic jams that brought the average down)
Also, the last picture is the my new Q7 which I haven't shared yet. Just got it in November and very happy with it so far.

thats about what the 2014s are estimated at for hwy. My 2010 gets 25mpg at 70-80mph runs, which is also what the book says for that model year. 25 or 28, still great mpg for 5500lb tanks

I have a 2015 TDI and I can't get better than 23 MPG... I usually average 22 mpg. I run my tires at full pressure. I have a bit of a lead foot, but even when I ease up, I don't get above 23. Any suggestions or ideas??? I have my 25K service coming up, so I can ask them to check things out based on suggestions here...
Thanks in advance.

On the highway though at steady cruising speeds of 70 -75 mph, ours will consistently record 27- 28mpg 600--650 miles per tank. I've seen 29 -30 when I loafed.

Another data point: 2013 TDI with roof bars (no box etc), ~650mi trip across the continental divide and into high desert. Average 72mph with a return of 25.5mpg

If so, your 32 mpg equates to our 26.6. Still quite impressive.

I have an un-modified 4.2 tdi and I never get more than about 28mpg on a long run.
I would be more than happy if it even reached 30 mpg but as an example, I did a 300 mile trip yesterday at quite 'decenbt' speeds and it averaged about 25mpg.
These are full fat UK gallons, not the pathetic little US ones!
