Default my 2012 is flawless

you can hang meat in mine if you set it correctly and believe me it is H O T where I live. We consider it a cold snap if it gets below 95 degrees.....

On my 2010 Q7, I found that tinting the pano-roof made a big difference in the heat load inside the car.

That is probably why Audi made tinting of the pano-roof on the 2015 Prestige model as standard from the factory. It should really be standard on all trim lines.

I just found the receipt from 2010. He used "Nano Ceramic Tech Plus Film" "C.Grey", but it does not say what % tint he used - 25% sticks in the back of my mind, but that could easily be a faulty memory.

Whatever it was worked very well with no breakage or shattering of the glass; although GA sun and heat are not the same as AZ sun and heat.

Thx for the info, good to know it at least works despite their warnings. I will suggest that particular tint to them and see what they say.

Default just out of curiosity how do you have your AC set

There is a big difference if you have your system set to REC rather than fresh air. In fresh air mode the system cools MUCH better as it doesn't have to deal with the stale air condensation. If you have it set to recirc switch it and try the difference

I agree Q7 AC is barely adequate. My dealer says it's their #1 complaint.

No complaints here. Set at 74° and full auto has been more than adequate with the mid 90's here for the past two months - even with short drives after being parked in the sun. Having the Warm Weather Package Option probably helps, too.

How long have you had tint installed on the sunroofs? I am looking to do this as well. Was looking into a 3M tint. Something that will act as a tint and as a head reducer

It was on the 2010 for a little over three years before I traded the car. The 2015 has it on from the factory. Any tint will also be a heat reducer.

I have a 2010 and the sunroof is already kinda dark, i thought it has been tinted in factory...maybe it's just darker glass. 3 years is good with regards to running the risk of sunroof allegedly cracking.

My sunroof screen system is broken i am looking to do this as a full time solution and just remove the sunroof cover screen. Is the protection adequate during the summer? Both in regards to heat transmission and sunlight/glare transmission?
