I have a 2011 TDI and Love it! I hope you got the extended warranty though. When these things need work done, repair costs will scare you. I just had a $7K bill on my TDI because my Fuel Pump disintegrated. So glad I opted for that extended warranty. It's already paid for itself. I bought my Q7 used with 65K miles.

No extended warranty,I will do all of the work myself as Always . German cars don't scare me at all ,I kept my V10 Touareg running tip top and even had to pull the motor to replace a few seals on the tandem pumps . And the parts I'll get at cost thanks to a few friends that work for Audi . I've already had it on my vag com and seems to be in great shape , I also just installed a race chip made in Germany for a little extra power and fuel economy , seem to be gettin 25 mpg so far

Great that you have mechanical skills because it really helps. Audi dealer wanted to charge me $279 to replace/install air filter and cabin filter (also do some sort of flush where the cabin air filter goes because of a musty smell when turning on AC). No thanks, I'll do this myself and save about $200. I've never worked on German cars as I've only had 2. I'm more of a domestic mechanic. Building a stroked LS 383 for my 69 Camaro. The price alone for the HPFP was over $1K I believe. Need to buy vag com because dealer didn't reset the "Service Due" reminder because they didn't do the work.
