Does the Q7 has Launch Control?
A very simple question which I was not able to find an answer. Does the Q7 have Launch Control?
If it does, how to activate it?

This was posted on a UK Q7 forum. Not tried it!
Start engine
switch off ESP
press Brakes with LEFT foot
engage S (NOT D) in gear
press the accelerator with your right foot (revs will go up to 4000?)
release the left foot....
Start engine

Those are the procedures for using launch control in my S5 with DCT.

Not trying to be smart - just trying to belp. I think this is genuine but not sure if it works on the Q7. Appreciate it does look like a joke!
Other prerequisites are:
- engine temp needs to be normal
- steering needs to be straight
- possibly need to be in Dynamic mode?

really?? sorry.. I totally read it like put one foot on brake hit the gas and let go of the brake..voila launch .. didnt realize it was a real procedure.. =)

I decided to ask this question because my other car is a Mini JCW and the procedure to use the launch control is more or less this one, with to differences: 1) you need to slam the brake with your left foot; and 2) right foot on full throttle ( must click past overboost button below pedal).
Maybe the Q7 has something similar to that.

Nope....funny that the earlier model RS7's don't either. And if I'm not mistaken the A series 7 and 8 don't have launch control as well. Pretty sure all the 3, 4, 5, and 6's do.

I thought launch control was only available on s-tronic gear boxes? The Q7 is using tiptronic.
