Default How to deter rabbits at the park-n-ride from eating engine sensor wiring?

It looks like the rabbits ate the wires to my oil temp sensor in the oil pan today. Little FuC%er's.

Anyone have any good ways to deter these little bastards when you leave your car parked during the day?

Default Sister's Forester had a wiring issue... stealership said it was mice...

wanted them to spend $$$ to replace the alternator (or somesuch) even though the car was still under warranty. Our dad, who knows a thing or two about cars, took a look at the wiring and it was clearly not chewed on.

He looked at a neighbors and it turns out that the wiring is simply too short (at least on the two he's looked at) and eventually can work itself loose. He called two other Front Range Sube stealerships and the service guys also told him "rodents have been busy, we've replace a bunch of those expensive widgets lately in Foresters..."

My dad bought $2 in parts at NAPA and fixed the problem vs the $1,000+ the stealership wanted to replace everything. Sounds like there might be a Sube design problem there.

Were you wires 100% clear as day chewed through?
