Just found out my RS 7 was released for production (2/20/15). Anyone have a good sense of how long it will take to build and then how long to get shipped to the States? Appreciate it!

My S6 was released for production on 2/6 and I got a email yesterday that it was at port waiting to be loaded. It looks like it will be loaded and depart port early next week. From what I've read its on the water 11-12 days or so to the east coast. I'm expecting delivery the third week of March.

My 2016 is coming in early so says my dealer today. He said it is being loaded on a boat today. Due at the U.S. port on March 19th and at the dealership before end of month. I was originally suppose to get it April 8th. Hopefully this 'speed' will apply to yours also.
On a side note, I am having some personal issues. I just had my first in-depth dream about me driving my RS7. I think I need to go talk to someone. . John T

Let me know if you find someone good to talk to, I spend way too much time building my car on audiusa.com now that its updated for the 16 model and watching youtube videos of RS7s.....so yeah, need some help too!

I ordered a 2016 RS7 in late December and was originally told early May delivery. My actual production release date was 2/18 and the dealer told me today that the car is now on the water and they're expecting it to arrive at the dealer in early April. I'm in the Chicago area if that helps. Port of entry is Houston.

I laughed about and second the comments about dreaming about the car and watching endless YouTube vids. Very excited the delivery date keeps moving up!

Hey Illini - thanks for the note. Just got an update my car is built and will be on the water next week for delivery in early/mid April! I'm in Chicago as well so will be tracking the boat its on so I know exactly when it gets to Houston (highlighting my deep issues). We'll have to tool around town in what has to be one of the few 2016 RS 7s on the road in April! Congrats!
