ECS Urethane Engine Mounts = Better handling?
Good Morning, All:
This one is a bit out there.
Last weekend I swapped out my nicely trashed OEM mounts (it's a late B6) for the ECS Urethane mounts. Gorgeous mounts, those. Too bad I never get to see them again. Oh, and a new urethane snub, too.
It might just be my brain, but I swear that the steering is sharper this week! I didn't touch the suspension, tire pressures, anything, when doing swapping them out, so it's not a combination of factors. Has anyone upgraded to the ECS units and noticed the same thing? I see how it could make a difference, as they are SO much stiffer than the stock units that it should reduce torsion in the front end by stiffening the block/frame junction, but.....I don't know. Just seems too odd.
What say you?
Thanks!
