Pre-purchase advice
I'm sure this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything relevant.
I'm looking at buying an 06 S4 B7 with around 75k on the clock.
Has a rebuilt title from being hit in the rear. Seller did send pics from the body shop.
My biggest concern, no service records aside from a battery and alternator. I know the timing service is a nightmare. Any way to check the condition on a PPI?
Normally I wouldn't bother but the color combo has me drooling (Moro blue & white leather)
What should I be looking really hard for as signs of a bad purchase? Timing, control arms etc... I do have a Ross-Tech sho I have the ability to run a scan.
I just really want to avoid buying a $15k car that has to have a $10k right away.
Thanks for the help and if anyone knows of a really reputable shop between Seattle & Portland I'd appreciate the tip!
