2015 S4 in Panther Black or Mythos Black?
So I am looking to get some opinions here:
I have an opportunity to get my hands on a new 2015 Panther black (Audi Exclusive color normally only available on RS5. It's $3900 for the exclusive paint job. I've got the car discounted so low in my negotiations, that the lease payment diff between a Mythos and the Panther is like $20 and the Panther has more options. (Optic package) What are your thoughts?

Huge fan of the Panther Black...
... the yellows and purples that emerge in differing light is hypnotic. I would be tempted to have Panther Black with the standard brightwork as it sets the color off so well. However, Black Optic is always smashing. In my opinion, the additional metalflake in the Panther Black will make it easier to maintain than the other black options. Sort of like Ibis White (no metalflake, stains like crazy) versus Glacier White (metalflake hides swirls and imperfections).

" Black is Black. I want my baby back" Los Bravos. From 10 feet away they all look the same. I've now had 6 black cars. Last 3 have been metallic which I like UP CLOSE. Also hides dust slightly.

Agreed, from a distance they all look the same. Up close is where the differences come out. My last three cars were black. First one was just a standard metallic black, second one Phantom Black Pearl and now Panther Black. Haven't seen Mythos in person, but FWIW, Panther is definitely the most interesting of the three I owned. A very deep rich black in the shade and in the sun it sparkles and the purple/green hue comes out. Some people shy away from the purple, but I've never had people compliment on the color of my car as much as they do when they see my RS5 in the sun. Living in the dry CA climate, keeping a metallic black car look good isn't all that hard, especially if you have a garage. I only give it a full bath every 2 months or so and in between I just go to the touchless car wash close to my house to rinse off the dust and dirt particles and then give it a polish with Adam's detail spray and clean the wheels with Adam's all purpose cleaner. Yes, in the wet winter the car gets dirty, but at least I don't have to deal with salt and crap. I would never own a non-metallic black car, though. Every one I see looks terrible in the sun.
