Default Advanced Key not working (Battery is fine !)

So here's the scoop ..

1. I have a 2012 S4 sedan
2. I approach the trunk with key fob in my hand and can open trunk without pressing unlock button
3. I approach any of the four doors with key fob in hand and they won't unlock or lock when I touch the door handle
4. I can lock and unlock the four doors using the fob
5. I can open the trunk using the fob
6. I can start the engine by pressing the start button with the fob in my pocket

Somebody please help me .. it can't be that the sensors in all four handles went at the same time, can it ?

was it disabled in the Central Locking option in the MMI car settings?
It worked before?

I'll have to double check the Central locking in MMI but yes, it worked up to about a week ago. Thanks for the tip.

It wasn't the MMI Central locking. Any other suggestions?

Have you checked your fuses?

Default Ditto!!

Hi all. I have 2016 S4 with exact same issues. Any ideas on a fix. Mine worked intermittently over the winter months. Just attributed it to the cold. Now however it is spring... Temps are warm...but advance key will not lock or unlock the doors. Everything else works fine. New Batteries are installed in both FOBS.
Any help would be awesome.. as I really like this feature!

Scan for DTCs, see what the actual problem is.

I do not have access to a scan tool unfortunately. Nearest Audi dealer is 350 miles away. I've been thinking of investing in a scan tool of my own ( I'll need to do some research) but was more curious as to if there was a known DIY fix. To save me the trip...

If you don't know what's wrong, how are you going to know how to fix it?
That the push button start and the trunk work means it's not likely a problem with the J393, like I had in my car.
That none of the door handles work seems odd. When a door handle sensor goes out, the other three work fine. I've had two of those go out over time.
So on to do a scan to see what is reported broken within the car.
