Do you have the magma seats or a red stitched wheel? If so, that would look really sharp. Otherwise, I'd be curious to see how it would look if there is no other red in the interior.
The stitching on mine compliments my steering wheel and seat inserts very nicely.

Nice, then I would agree on that for sure. It is odd that there are no red stitched boot options for the S-line DSG shifter. Must not be an option on the non-S cars.

You might have to do a heat and twist after all,

Maybe a can swap the boot that's on my shifter with the one it comes with like Chigger said. And if not that. I have a friend that does leather work so maybe she can put in red stitching?

Yes, I didn't think of that. There is a plastic lock **** inside both boots and as long as the chrome trim ring on the bottom of the stock shifter doesn't come attached to the boot, I bet it will fit. The only possible snag I could see, is that the new shifter has a different shape at the base of it, so not sure how the boot fits around it, but the lock **** is the same.

One drawback to the B8.5 shift **** is that it gets VERY HOT on sunny days. Sometimes it's a challenge to drive away.

The stock B8 **** was also like that. This perforated one is much cooler to touch.

This vendor might also be the solution to the OP looking for a different shift boot with red stitching. I see they have some options in that department, but nothing specific to the B8 DSG.
