Default buying a 2010 s4

I am currently looking at a 2010 tiptronic/dsg s4.

The mechatronics unit was replaced a little less than one year ago. He says only the circuit board was replaced and not the FULL mechatronics unit... which is weird (don't think he really knows what they did)... but my real question is..

-Wouldn't getting this unit replaced also include a full DSG fluid change? seeing you have to take off the pan to replace the unit?

I have to take a second look at his receipts but this seems like a deal seeing I would be purchasing it roughly ~6k under bluebook.

car has 80k miles.

thanks for the help!

Is it possibly to just replace the circuit board and not the FULL mechatronics unit? Because he is pretty certain that's what was done. Or is there another circuit unit he could be talking about?

Yes, its possible, and common, many are saving $1000s by going this route and fixing all of their symptoms
