I had my clutch repaired as warranty work under 3k miles on my 2011... Its much stiffer to push down now and locks up hard , sometimes so hard that the car does like a double jerk but when this clutch gets hot sometimes the pedal creaks again. I truly think the clutches in this car are ****ty. They feel good until put under stress. My GF drives a 2000 540i M package with 130k on original clutch and that clutch is much smoother and more comfortable to drive with absolutely no slipping..and no crazy issues like i had on my first clutch...

If you can smell clutch fumes in your cab twice weekly you are in trouble.

I say I am pretty careful, though sometimes will make mistakes. Let's say i will smell clutch in cab about once a year, but my car is rev. delimited in 1st and 2nd so mistakes can happen easier.

... and I'm not doubting you're abilities to drive. I'd say there's something defective there, but I can't imagine what it would be. Almost like it wasn't engaging fully.

Was DesertRS4 the one who was complaining that he could feel his clutch slipping? Maybe there's something to this.

That his was bad and had to be replaced. You mean that doesn't categorically make them ALL bad?

If they were all bad, I would have seen more complaints about it earlier.

oh - yeah - I forgot how the internet works. a data point of one (and it's debatable that this is a valid data point) - makes it true. silly me.

well, there were plenty topics on this issue in S/A4 and A/S5 sections...I had bring my car to the dealership too to get the clutch fixed.
