Roc Euro intake issues?
Hi guys,
A few weeks ago I picked up a 2012 S4 as a replacement for my 2004 S60R, so far I'm loving it.
Had to get into a few bolt on modifications, so I threw on the supercharged badges and a Roc Euro intake.
Well I don't really like how the Roc Euro intake installs...it doesn't feel really stable, the pipe is just held in place by the clamps at the throttle body side, and the head shield isn't really held in place at all...not that they move around any, but still it's enough to bug me (call me ****). Plus the filter sits maybe 1/8th of an inch from the xenon headlight piece (yes it's as far back as it can go)...the sound is a little too loud for me as well.
All of these things would have been discovered if I had done a little more research first! Definitely my fault, and not the fault of Roc Euro!
But that being said what are my other options as far as intakes go? When I search around I usually find "roc euro is the best" but I'm looking for something that will mount up solid yet still provide decent power gains. Can't really seem to find much on the subject, but maybe I've just been hanging around the Volvo forums for too long and can't seem to navigate the audi world properly??
If anyone out there would like to trade their aftermarket setup for my Roc Euro let me know!
Thanks!
