Possible MMI Issue: BlackBerry Z10 Recognition

The fellow is away until next week, but I suspect that Balance is active. I may need to pick a brain or two to duplicate the exact steps required for success.

Sorry if Im the wrong thread but... Dad has an S3 (2009) and has just got a new Z10 to replace the ancient Blackberry Pearl.
Pairs ok with the car, and lists all the numbers in the phonebook BUT not the contact names like it used to. Is there a fix, or is the Z10 just not so user friendly?
Thanks

I think the fact that an outside device cant access contacts maybe tied to the bb10 corporate IT policy. The reason it may be different from the torch might be due to it being an older BES version.

I have a Z10 running on BES, and a Z30 (non BES). Initially, with my Z10, I had some problems with loading contacts. When I added the phone to trusted bluetooth, it would start to load the contacts and then fail, What I found is that I had too many contacts and the directories didn't load (I had over 1,000). I deleted ones that were old and those I rarely used and everything works well. If your friend still is having problems, delete out the phone, reset the MMI to factory setting (just the phone setting) to get rid of any existing contacts, the them add the phone back to the system. If you get really desparate, the SD card will load a max of 100 contacts.
