So, I have run into my first question. When I try to sync my phonebook to the car, something weird is happening that does not happen on any other Audi or VW in my family:

First pic - all the contacts just show up with that icon and no info....blank....

Second pic - when I scroll down like 150-200 contacts then all the names start to appear....wtf?

Any had this issue?

I see this when I have a contact listed under a "business name". The contacts with first and last names display normally.

Did not have a problem with my 2014. But when I got my used 2011, the MMI would not recognise any of my contacts from the directory of my iPhone 5. Wouldn't recognise those on my sons iPhone 5 either. 2 months later, VOILA, it starts recognising the directory. 2 things occurred . 1) I had the 24AS ECU upgrade 2) Also made some Vag com changes to other aspects of the car. Don't know if either had any bearing on my situation. It is frustrating . I would take it back to the dealer and let them figure it out. Can you delete the first 150 entries?

I am having the exact same problem with my '14 RS7. I have 1546 contacts on my phone and when I sync the first 350+ spaces in the directory are blanks. Then my contacts only go to M

My Audi tech says that each telephone number per contact counts for a space in the directory but I don't believe that.

Any solutions yet?

My problem magically rectified itself. One day, the contacts from my phone just showed up in the directory as they had been in my previous 2 B8 s4s. I now have many double contacts since I maually enterd them when the MMI would not recognise my phone directory. I did have the 24AS TSB done which is an Ecu reprogram. Did not see that the directory contacts showed up immediately after that. Noticed about 2 months later .Just wondering if you can just delete all the blank contacts? I believe the OP should just take the car in for service and have the techs figure it out.
