Don't know whether this was addressed over at AZ forum, but there was a steering update a while ago, it is possible that the airbag update just brought the software level up to a version that includes that as well; if so that would explain different steering feel.

I just had mine done while it was in for the 25K service...quick computer update. I also have not noticed any difference performance-wise.
