I think you should add the tuning options and include the fact that.....
alot of us with tranny mods feel that custom tcu tuning is needed to get the most out of the upgrades and no one has really done this yet. Not that the car doesnt run well without it, imo its needed to maximize the performance from the upgrades

more than likey thats the tip tcu adapting to driving style.....
becasue there is probably alot more traffic when your going home it adapts due to your lighter right foot and picks a shifting program to best suit what it thinks your driving style is

Some inaccuracies - but nice that you took the initiative to post something that helps
raise awareness and spread info.
1. Not enough proof ? The ZF tranny is rated at 222ft.lbs. The burden of proof is on those that think you can ignore ZF spec and get double the torque or more & same lifespan out of the stock tip tranny using stock clutch/bands/bushings ?
The 6spd guys already know that stock clutch just can't handle Stage3 powah - why would anyone think the friction material in a Tip tranny is any different ? Maybe some magical properties ?
2. This is a myth that the lock-up clutch only engages at highway speeds. In fact the Torque Converter locks in at >35 mph and disengages when <10 mph. This info is correct, I've verified for myself by logging the TCU using VAG-COM.
The Lock-up Clutch has 3 phases
The symptom of bad lock-up clutch can be two-fold. A failure to engage >35mph and a failure to disengage when slowing <10mph. The latter feels like a clunky stop almost stalling.
3. Tip Transmission slipping in gear may be due to a number of factors including :
- incorrect tranny fluid
- inadequate tranny fluid
- pressure loss or pump failure
- varnished clutch/bands
- solenoid/spring/valvle failure in ValveBody
4. L10 Torque converter upgrade $400.
Saxco (Sachs dist) in San Jose will do it for much less.
