Im pretty sure they just wont clear the brakes period. 16 inch or larger only.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately competition rally tires come only in 14 and 15s; I have to do more research to see how those Subarus fit them.

You could downgrade to A4 brakes lol. Really, because a quick google search yields plenty of 16 and 17 inch competition ralley tires out there. Not sure exactly what your after, but im sure they are out there. If your just going to some local shop, i would expand your search.

The term rally or rallye is used very freely, tires, rims, even car models, there are all kinds of off road tires and wheels for trucks and suvs, but they have absolutely nothing in common with the tires used in the World Rally Championship or Rally America. When I was rallying my 5000, I had trouble mounting those tires, not so much because of the 1 inch thick sidewall, but some shops refused to install non street legal tires. I will start looking for specific rally rims, the ones they give out as prizes, here's a link to the only type or tire capable of taking rally abuse- The Gravel tires are the ones I need Rally / Tyres / MICHELIN Motorsport
