2.8l heads - Donor engine code?

2.8l heads - Donor engine code?
Im based in the UK, and i have quite a few good scrappies in my area. The only thing is, im not sure which code of 2.8l engine will donate the best heads for my future BT S4/RS4 project...
Ive done a bit of digging, and have come up with the following engine codes, relating to 2.8l audi engines, with dates produced, for both A4 and A6 on various platforms.
Can anyone positively identify which would donate the best heads for oversize valves, and porting to match RS4 manifolds?
A4:
AAH (1994-1997)
ACK (1995-1998)
AFC (1995-1997)
AHA (1996-1997)
ALG (1997-1998)
AMX,APR,AQD (1998-2001)
ATQ,ATX (1999-2001)
AZR (2000-2001)
A6:
AAH,AEJ (1994-1998)
AFC (1994-1996)
ACK (1995-2003)
AGE (1997-2003)
AHA (1997-1998)
ALG,APR,AQD (1998-2003)
ATQ (1999-2001)
ATX (1999-2003)
AMX (2000-2003)
I appreciate this list may not be comprehensive and that the 2.8 30v may have been used in other models, but i couldnt be arsed to type any more. Mainly, just in case the first reply is...
"theyre all the same mate"
Thanks in advance,
Dan

I believe either ATA or ATQ will work. One of them is for an automatic the other manual. The difference if you get the Automatic heads, you have to plug up som additional holes. Not a big deal though.
Keep searching the archives, there's some good info and head codes.

AHA and ATQ both work the exact same, with the exact same holes to plug.

Thanks for all of your fast replies...
Ive sent a few emails to various breakers, so hopefully something cheap (and my side of the pond!!) will turn up.

I'd do some more research on the forums cause all I've ever heard of people running on the 2.7 engines are the AHA, the ATQ, and the one's from europe that are from a 2.2 or 2.4l engine.
