Default Do you get the magic moving "ghost" pedal as well?

The real question is if it's independent of the ESP and solely an ABS function or not.
Unfortunately, disconnecting the module disables both.
Right now I'm just not braking as late into the turns as I could, it's OK, it is still a street car.
Maybe when I commit to stripping it and putting in a cage I'll put an ESP free ABS module in, seems like a good idea anyways.
It could be the solution since my 2000 S4 never did it.

I hope you saved your pennies. This isn't a cheap car to maintain. (I still miss mine)

Default After shutting it down like I said, i haven't had it comeback on but I can't say it wouldn't under

extremes. In winter driving I can definitely induce brake induced oversteer which I cannot induce if I just turn off esp without doing what I mentioned earlier. In other words, if I'm driving and turn off esp while in motion, then even though the dash light indicates ESP is off, it's not completely disengaged. If I turn off ESP w the car running, ebrake on, then depress the brake pedal one (or two times I forget) followed by release of the ebrake, then not only does the dash light indicate esp is off but it seems to stay off.

Default Yes. Basically you can't trail brake too hard in these cars! So now I go deep and

brake more before turning. Slow in, fast out.

From previous posts, I recall people saying the ESP is sending signals that the ABS module acts upon. That's why I figured replacing the ABS module would be the easiest thing. Of course this is a total guess. Anyone tried this?
