Default Can anyone direct me how to build K03/K04 hybrids?

I have a spare set of K03 turbos and thought about trying to convert them into hybrids.

Default In the past we have seen minimal gains from k03 hybrids...

Taking into consideration the amount of time it takes to swap turbo's, I highly recommend k04's over k03 hybrids.

Default a good turbo shop could do the work as both compressor and turbine

housings need clerancing to fit the new KO4 cartridges in (best way to do it).
couple places with good rep around here (aw) Blouch, Audspeed..

Default $200 ?!?!?!?!1 LOL where do u pull that number from ?

(ret q
to do it right gotta get ko4 cartridges 500$/piece + the work to be fitted in.. if you do the work yourself and need a cheap , more reliable option this would work well.
they are more reliable than just ko3-s bc they use the rotating assembly from the ko4-s and if they are used in a stg1-2 they will last much better than ko3-s bc they will be more efficient, will not have to spin as fast as ko3-s to sustain the requested boost (bigger comp wheel).

Default Correct. Your looking more like 2200 vs 1500....

and if you arent doing the install yourself. 20-24 hours of labor.

Spending an extra 500-700 bucks to do it right...and do it onces will be very worth it in the end.

It was a guess, if it is more like $1500, then I would have to agree with you on the K04s
